Emergency Care

Our veterinarians are on call for emergencies when your pets need care, including nights, weekends, and holidays. If your pet requires emergency medical attention, call us at 907-789-7551 and select option 2 to get in touch with our on-call veterinarian. Some emergency situations include:

  • Porcupine Quills
  • Difficulty Breathing
  • Excessive Bleeding
  • Loss of Consciousness
  • Straining or Inability to Urinate
  • Profuse Diarrhea or Vomiting
  • Seizures
  • Abnormalities in Giving Birth
  • Large Open Wounds
  • Burns
  • Bloated Abdomen
  • Eye Problems
  • Inability to Stand or Walk
  • Poisoning/Toxicity
    • Common toxins include: Chocolate (caffeine and theobromine), Xylitol, Onions/Garlic, Grapes/Raisins, Prescription Medication, Anti-freeze, Rodent Poison, Sago Palm, Lillies (for cats), Some types of mushrooms
    • If you suspect that your pet might have ingested a toxin, please bring the original container or other documentation with you.
