Dr. Shawna Wishart

Dr. Shawna Wishart was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After graduating from high school, she attended Indiana University - Purdue University Fort Wayne for a year and a half before deciding to move to New Zealand for veterinary school. Shawna attended Massey University in Palmerston North for the full duration of the 5 year bachelors of veterinary science (BVSc) degree (equivalent to doctor of veterinary medicine).

She enjoyed her experiences with the Kiwi's so much she married one before she left. Following university, Shawna moved back to northern Indiana for a 6 month internship in emergency medicine.

Shawna and her husband moved to Juneau in July 2007. They have one cat (Zoey) and enjoy hiking, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding and traveling.
